2 cups fresh broccoli florets

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed

1 cup uncooked egg noodles

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

1 cup cream of mushroom soup (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 cup bread crumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while you prepare the bake.

    Cook the Noodles: In a large pot, bring a generous amount of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the uncooked egg noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the noodles in a colander and set them aside.

      Blanch the Broccoli: In the same pot, add the broccoli florets to the boiling water and blanch for 2-3 minutes, just until they turn vibrant green but remain slightly crisp. Quickly drain and plunge the florets into a bowl of ice water to halt the cooking process. After a few minutes, drain the broccoli again and set it aside.

        Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Use a whisk or wooden spoon to mix until all ingredients are smoothly combined.

          Combine the Ingredients: Add the cooked egg noodles, blanched broccoli, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese to the bowl with the chicken mixture. Gently fold the ingredients together until everything is evenly coated.
