Ingredients

2 cups frozen mixed berries (a delightful blend of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries)

1 cup Greek yogurt (choose plain for a tangy flavor or vanilla for sweetness)

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to your desired sweetness)

1 cup almond milk (or substitute with any milk of your choice)

1 ripe banana (for natural sweetness and creaminess)

1 tablespoon chia seeds (for added nutrition and texture)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, enhances flavor)

¼ cup granola or crushed nuts (for a crunchy topping)

Instructions

Blend the Base: In a high-speed blender, combine the frozen mixed berries, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup (if using), almond milk, ripe banana, chia seeds, and vanilla extract. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides of the blender for even mixing.

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring some overhang on the sides. This will make it easier to lift the smoothie bars out later.

Pour and Spread: Carefully pour the blended smoothie mixture into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to evenly spread the mixture across the bottom of the pan, smoothing the top for an even texture.

Add Toppings: Generously sprinkle granola or crushed nuts evenly over the top of the smoothie mixture. This will add delightful crunch and variation in texture.

Freeze the Bars: Transfer the pan to the freezer and freeze for approximately 4-6 hours, or until the smoothie mixture is completely solid.

Cut into Bars: Once fully frozen, remove the smoothie block from the pan by lifting it out using the edges of the parchment paper. Place it onto a cutting board and slice it into bars of your preferred size.

Serve and Enjoy: Store the smoothie bars in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one month. They can be enjoyed straight from the freezer whenever you’re in the mood for a healthy treat!

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 6 hours | Servings: 12 bars

                  - Serving Suggestion: Pair these bars with a fresh fruit garnish or a dollop of yogurt for an extra special treat. Enjoy them as a nutritious snack or a delightful dessert!
