8 slices of whole grain bread

12 oz sliced turkey breast

8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, sliced

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

A handful of fresh arugula or spinach (optional)

Pickles for garnish (optional)

Make the Honey Mustard Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the honey, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise. Whisk together until smooth and fully blended. Taste the sauce and adjust sweetness or tanginess by adding more honey or mustard as needed.

    Build the Sandwiches: On a clean surface, arrange 4 slices of bread. Generously spread the honey mustard sauce on each slice. Layer the sandwich by adding 3 oz of sliced turkey breast onto each slice, followed by an equal portion of sharp cheddar cheese. If you’re adding greens, sprinkle a handful of fresh arugula or spinach atop the cheese.

      Top Off the Sandwiches: Complete your sandwiches by placing the remaining 4 slices of bread on top of the assembled fillings.

        Prepare the Grilling Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Mix until it forms a uniform mixture. Use a pastry brush to lightly coat the outside of each sandwich with the olive oil mixture.

          Grill the Sandwiches: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Once the skillet is hot, carefully lay the sandwiches into the pan.
