1 cup pizza sauce

8 slices of white bread

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup pepperoni slices (or your choice of toppings, such as mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives)

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 tablespoons butter, softened to room temperature

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Prep the Bread:

    - Lay out the 8 slices of bread on a clean workspace. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on one side of each slice. This saucy side will be the interior of your scrumptious sandwiches.
