Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta and Broccoli: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to the package instructions until it reaches an al dente texture. For the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Once done, drain the pasta and broccoli, then set them aside in a colander.

Sear the Chicken: In a spacious skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. While the oil warms, season the diced chicken pieces generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a plate and set it aside.

Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: Using the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned. Pour in the heavy cream and allow it to come to a gentle simmer. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce has a creamy consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, and if desired, sprinkle in crushed red pepper flakes for a hint of spice.

Combine Ingredients: Return the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet with the creamy Alfredo sauce. Gently toss all ingredients together, ensuring the pasta and broccoli are well coated in the sauce. Finally, add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and stir until everything is heated through and seamlessly combined.

Serve: Plate the creamy chicken Alfredo pasta generously, garnishing with freshly chopped parsley to add a pop of color and freshness to your dish. Dive in and savor the delightful flavors!
